Part time permanent senior social worker position within a well-supported multi-disciplinary team based in an inpatient mental health unit, Westmead Hospital.
Ideal Candidate
Must have a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, with Current NSW Driver’s Licence
Demonstrated advance clinical knowledge, skills and significant clinical experience in the provision of social work at level 2 or higher.
What you'll be doing
As a Social Worker, you will support WSLHD Older Peoples Mental Health Service by providing high-quality social work assessments and interventions for older patients in the acute inpatient unit, including comprehensive mental health assessments, care planning, and assisting consumers with community reintegration.

Essential Requirements:
Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work
Registration: Eligibility for Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) membership
Selection Criteria
Substantial experience and skills in Social Work assessment, planning and evaluating interventions for older consumers with complex mental health conditions and comorbidities.
Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act 2007 and NSW Trustees and Guardianship Act 1987.
Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill, and significant clinical experience in professional and clinical supervision, and support of staff.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and/or research focused on patient/consumer outcomes.
