What you'll be doing
Join our team to deliver high-quality Nutrition and Dietetic services within WSLHD, specialising in obesity and bariatric care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting nutritional assessments, interventions, and counselling.
- Supporting obesity and metabolic surgery patients at Blacktown Hospital.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
- Contributing to quality improvement and professional development.
- Providing education and supervision to staff and students.

Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics, acceptable for membership of the Dietitians’ Association of Australia (DAA).
Selection Criteria:
- Extensive post graduate experience in clinical nutrition and up to date knowledge of dietetic practice, with experience in both outpatient and inpatient service delivery.
- Well-developed written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, effective time management and ability to prioritise workload.
- High level computer skills, including experience in using CBORD Diet Office System and Cerner eMR or equivalent.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning especially in the area of clinical specialty.
- Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and guide and support others in service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff.
- Demonstrated advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement, with the ability to work independently with minimal direct clinical supervision, but also effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
- Ability to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and on call, if required.
