About this role

 

This highly valued role is in the Ministry of Health’s, Workplace Relations Branch. The Branch plays a key role in supporting the NSW Health workforce in leading system wide workplace relations policy development and advice.

 

Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $125,693 - $138,510 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

They key focus of this role is system-wide employment-related policy and projects, and associated activities.

 

What you'll be doing

 

As a Senior HR Policy Advisor you will:

 

  • Provide high level policy advice internally to senior management of the Ministry and externally to NSW Health organisations on policy related workplace relations issues. 
  • Develop system-wide workplace relations policies relating to the employment of NSW Health staff.
  • Respond to requests from NSW Health organisations for information on complex workplace issues and for advice on appropriate strategies to deal with employment issues related to your policy portfolio.

 

 

 

About you 

 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

 

  • Substantial experience in organisation- or state-wide policies and projects pertaining to human resources or workforce matters and provision of related advice in a complex environment.

 

  • Experience managing workplace and employment issues, and the application of policies and legislation to employment situations, preferably in the public sector. 

 

  • The ability to work with colleagues in a small dynamic team environment whilst taking individual responsibility for matters within your remit.

 

  • Knowledge of the environment and employment arrangements under which NSW Health staff are engaged and under which services are provided to patients in public hospitals.
