Senior Advisor, Culture and Staff Experience

Be a part of our dynamic and passionate Employee Experience and Talent Development Team (EXTD) at the Ministry of Health. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to help shape the future of health in New South Wales.


About this role

As the Senior Advisor, Culture and Staff Experience, you will play a pivotal role in shaping culture and staff experience across our organisation, driving positive change and improving outcomes for our employees and the communities we serve.


Your primary responsibility will be to develop, support, and implement programs, projects, and activities that align with our Culture and Staff Experience Framework. 


The EXTD unit is the organisational lead for the NSW Health Culture and Staff Experience Framework, the NSW Health Talent Strategy and the NSW Health Student Pipeline strategy.


You will be working in an active and open team who value collaborative teamwork and the individual strengths you will bring to the role.

Crown Clerk 9/10, salary from $120,859 - $133,183 p.a. (plus super and annual leave loading)

ou will contribute significantly to the ongoing success of the Ministry of Health, public health organisations, and related government agencies.


In this role you will: 

  • Work as part of a team to develop and implement strategies to foster a positive organisational culture that aligns with NSW Health's values and goals
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and wellbeing, promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and leaders on matters related to workplace culture, employee experience and engagement
  • Oversee the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and initiatives to support a positive employee experience
  • Stay informed about industry trends and proactively introduce innovative ideas and best practices to drive a positive culture and employee experience 
  • Engage and manage key stakeholders ensuring effective collaboration and alignment

About you

You are passionate about making a meaningful impact, thrive in a collaborative environment, and take systematic approach to your work.


You will support for NSW Health with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Organisational Development, Organisational Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Building relationships, problem-solving, and driving change.

  • Proven experience in leading organisational development, culture and staff experience initiatives, change management, and/or learning & development initiatives.

  • Strong relationship management, collaboration, and communication skills.

  • Experience in using data to identify gaps, needs, and opportunities.
