About Your Role
The Senior Biomedical Engineer has overall responsibility for the management of clinical equipment for patient care directly and through the direct supervision of a team of Biomedical Engineers.
This involves procurement, acceptance, fault management, routine testing and disposal of medical devices. All of this is to be achieved in a reliable and cost-effective manner, consistent with the clinical needs for the device, the priorities of the clinical customer and within the organisational guidelines.
The objective is to provide safe, effective, reliable and well-maintained clinical equipment for patient care throughout MLHD facilities.
Senior Biomedical Engineer will provide Electrical Safety test and performance verification test in line with AS:NZS 3551 2012 Management programs for medical devices for Murrumbidgee local health district facilities along with management of Corrective work task, recall management and documentation of assets in asset management and facilities online system - AFMO.
Perform technical support function under limited supervision while working with a small team in a dedicated area.
Carry out acceptance testing, calibration, maintenance, repair, recall management, contractor management, education, documentation and other technical support services with regard to the medical technology for MLHD hospitals.
