Join a collaborative, award-winning team dedicated to helping stroke survivors regain mobility and independence. Based within Hunter New England Health at our Wallsend Campus, this role offers a mix of in-clinic, telehealth, and community-based work, making a tangible difference in people’s lives.



About the role:

As a Physiotherapist specialising in stroke recovery and secondary prevention, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy to stroke survivors and their families/carers.
  • Provide Virtual Care consultations, expanding access to essential rehabilitation services.
  • Travel to a local community gym twice weekly to provide education, report on stroke risk factors, and assist stroke patients with recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with a team known for its creative and innovative communication.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Work within legal, ethical, and professional guidelines to ensure best-practice patient care.



About you:

  • Passionate about stroke rehabilitation and patient-centred care.
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to engage with health professionals, patients, and carers.
  • Willing to travel locally for community education and outreach programs.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development and best-practice physiotherapy.
