Are you an experienced Health Establishment Registration Online (HERO) Data Manager? If so, consider joining our Digital Health Application Patient Management Team at Northern Sydney Digital Health Services. With the adoption of the Single Digital Patient Record across the Northern Sydney and Central Coast Local Health Districts scheduled for November 2026, your role will be crucial. You'll play a vital part in ensuring the seamless transition and integration of all locations builds into the new electronic medical record (eMR) system.

What you'll be doing
The Digital Application Services HERO Data Manager plays a key role in ensuring compliance with NSW Health PD2024_42 (Registration of Health Establishments) across the Northern Sydney and Central Coast Local Health Districts. This position is responsible for overseeing the registration of all organisations, locations, and service units within the Local Health Districts as health establishments.
Additionally, the role involves conducting comprehensive reviews of HERO information for services in collaboration with Area Performance Units, service unit managers, and relevant executive personnel, such as the Clinical Director.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a Health discipline, Information Management/informatics, or Information Communications & Technology.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing and understanding health data systems and standards, with a particular focus on service units delivering health services and their corresponding service point locations. Skilled in generating detailed reports and providing effective training in data entry applications.
- Extensive expertise and comprehensive understanding of health systems, particularly concerning the mandatory Health Registration Online (HERO) system requirements for registering all health establishments and service units across New South Wales. This includes compliance for both in-patient and non-admitted reporting
- Demonstrated expertise in evaluating data quality, identifying system and process issues, and implementing effective solutions to maintain data integrity across large-scale organizations.
