$112,396.00 - $116,963.48 per annum + 11.5% super & salary packaging | Temporary Full Time (Job Share/Part Time hours may be considered) | Warilla Community Health Centre | REQ554764 | Grade: Occupational Therapist Level 3, Social Worker Level 3, Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 | Applications close: 11 March 2025


This is a temporarily funded position until 30 June 2026 with the possibility of an extension subject to funding.

 

Positions will initially be located at Warilla Community Health Centre, then moving to the new Kids Hub building in Wollongong area November 2025.

As the Occupational Therapist (lvl 3) / Social Worker (lvl 3) / Clinical Nurse Specialist 2, you will provide client-centred, family-focused and evidence-based clinical intervention services for children up to the age of 12 years with emotional, behavioural, and/or emerging mental health concerns in the context of their family life. This role is part of a new early intervention team focused on promoting positive mental health and development through the provision of timely interventions aimed at improving outcomes for vulnerable children and their families. You will be working within a large multidisciplinary team, providing assessment, intervention, and support services for children and their families whilst also collaborating with preschools, schools, and other community services. The role will require family and child-focused therapeutic interventions, with an emphasis on attachment, parent child relationship and parenting capacity to meet the emotional needs of their child.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly-funded team and program – Head to Health Kids Hub. This new service is part of a nation-wide roll out of Kids Hubs jointly funded by NSW Health and the Australian Government to provide early intervention mental health and wellbeing support for children up to the age of 12 years.

·         Working With Children Check (WWCC)

·         Current AHPRA Registration or Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

·         For Nursing candidates; relevant post-registration qualification in the area of Paediatrics / Child & Family Health / Mental Health and at least 3 years' experience working in Paediatrics / Child & Family Health area of their specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate

·         Valid NSW Drivers Licence
