Together, we can do more.

As the Nurse Unit Manager at Coledale Hospital, you’ll oversee all clinical, administrative, and personnel functions within the unit, playing an essential role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of patient and staff services. As a part of a small, tight-knit workforce, you’ll be exposed to a range of day-to-day leadership duties that are unique to a smaller hospital site, giving you experience in rural and remote working and allowing you to become multi-skilled in a number of nursing leadership areas. No two days will be the same, and you’ll encounter and experience things that you’d never see at a larger hospital site.

For more information about the role, see the Position Description here.

A little about us.

Coledale Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is a 38-bed facility specialising in aged care services for the northern Illawarra. The hospital cares for patients transitioning to residential aged care facilities and has a purpose-built unit for patients with a dementia illness awaiting nursing home placement.

At Coledale Hospital, we believe in empowering our staff to explore career progression opportunities and professional development pathways. Whether that’s connecting you with supportive staff mentors, assisting with your education goals or helping you plan the next step for your career – we want to help you succeed.

Alongside supporting our staff to reach their career goals, we strongly believe in a healthy work-life balance. Our location, situated near the pristine Coledale Beach and surrounded by lush landscape, offers a beautiful backdrop to live and/or work. Fun fact: there's the chance to see whales or dolphins from the hospital grounds during migration season.
