What you'll be doing

Responsible for provision of Nurse Education across the MNCLHD specific to Palliative Care.
The Nurse Educator seeks to standardise education and training for the workforce within specialist palliative care teams but also investing in the development of skills and knowledge of the non-specialist palliative care clinical workforce of the MNC LHD, Primary Health Networks (PHN) and aged care sector. The investment in building the capabilities and capacity of the workforce ensures the community has access to safe and high quality palliative care services.

Development of district wide standardised clinical documentation, guidelines, policy and procedures. Operationalise standard data sets informing needs for palliative care. Assist with patient reported outcome measures (PROMS)/patient reported experience measures (PREMS) audits inclusive of PCOC to improve quality care.
Development of ongoing embedded quality improvement initiatives for district wide service. Inclusive of clinical audit, morbidity/mortality/peer review meetings.

About you
Do you have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia who holds post registration nursing/midwifery clinical or education qualifications relevant to the clinical area in which he/she is appointed, or qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer and ability to work autonomously and proven ability to achieve outcomes in line with the educational direction of the Health Service
