About the role:
The Maitland Hospital's Emergency Department attends to a significant number of patients daily, spanning various age groups and presenting issues. The department boasts an exceptional team culture, providing robust support for your transition. The ED operates as a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary team, involving not only doctors and nurses but also administration staff, social workers, physiotherapists, pharmacists, occupational therapists, and invaluable ancillary staff. Together, we contribute to the seamless functioning of the ED.

Opportunities for further education and training in relevant courses is well supported. You will be supported by a team of multidisciplinary specialists as well as our Education Team.
Where you'll be working:
- Maitland ED and the 8 Bed Emergency Short Stay Unit (ESSU) to support flow and care for our patients. Successful candidates will be required to work within the Emergency Department including the ESSU.
- Our hospital has now transitioned to a new facility in January 2022 with state of the art technology in patient care. Maitland Hospital has been built to provide patients with high quality care in a modern and comfortable environment and it embraces technology and innovation, allowing staff new, improved ways to work that will deliver better health outcomes.
- The team is characterised by its patient-cantered approach, fostering a dynamic and cohesive work environment. Additionally, the department benefits from the oversight of a Nurse Unit Manager, Medical Co-Directors, and an Operational Nurse Manager for Critical Care.

Essential Requirements:
- Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed where applicable) with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
