About the Dental Officer Residency Program
The Dental Officer Residency Program is a 12-month program with an optional second year. This program is designated to prepare clinicians to deliver comprehensive patient centric care for all patients including those with complex and special needs. Residents can expect a robust program with dedicated facilities and appropriate mentoring by specialists and senior clinicians. The program will not only improve and consolidate clinicians’ skills in specialty areas but will also help clinicians make more educated decisions as to whether they to pursue future specialist training or pursue clinical teaching.

The Dental Officer Residency Program provides a wide range of experiences through which dental officers can develop further their clinical skills in a multidisciplinary and collaborative clinical environment. The program aims to build strong skilled clinicians and leaders in the field and encourages the continuous pursuit of knowledge. Upon completion of this residency program, the dental officers are expected to have rotated and gained experiences in the specialised areas such as Paediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Oral Medicine, Special Needs Dentistry, as well as Emergency Dentistry and University General Practice.
