What you'll be doing

As a Cystic Fibrosis Ambulatory Service Coordinator, you will oversee the operational management of the Cystic Fibrosis Ambulatory Service at Westmead Hospital, supporting a multidisciplinary team.

  • Managing daily operations, appointments, billing, and resources.
  • Leading service planning, policy implementation, and accreditation.
  • Overseeing staff recruitment, orientation, and performance.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators and service targets.
  • Supporting professional development for Cystic Fibrosis Service staff.

Selection Criteria

  1. Relevant clinical qualifications in a relevant health-related field and extensive recent clinical experience in a relevant field and/or experience in the management and planning of health services.
  2. Substantial, recent experience in management of multidisciplinary clinical teams, human resource management and demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
  3. High level communication and analytical skills including proven experience in the management of clinical activity and performance monitoring.
  4. Proven knowledge and experience of ambulatory and inpatient clinical service delivery and clinical practice models, and proven skills to efficiently plan and manage delivery of ambulatory clinical services.
  5. Proven ability to be self-directed, proactive and work autonomously with a high degree of initiative, able to prioritise work demands and achieve deadlines.
  6. Proven organisational planning ability.
  7. Knowledge and experience of quality processes and a commitment to the implementation of best practice and clinical service innovation.
  8. Sound knowledge of patient data systems involved in the management of hospital outpatient services.
