We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our team and take on the Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1 role in our short-term residential facility providing a safe and therapeutic community environment for consumers at varying stages of recovery.

Selection Criteria: 

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, and post registration qualifications in a mental health specialty or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
  2. Demonstrated involvement working directly and collaboratively with non-government organisations in supporting mental health consumers
  3. Demonstrated involvement in the development/change of clinical practice underpinned by evidence based research and demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and clinical service planning.
  4. Demonstrated effective leadership skills including developed skills in communication, problem solving and decision making skills in relation to managing responsibilities.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development for self and others.
  6. Extensive experience in assessment, care planning and coordination with complex mental health consumers in a community setting within a strengths and recovery oriented framework
  7. Commitment to consumer consultation and participation in service planning and delivery, policy development and implementation, priority setting and service evaluation and quality activities.
  8. Current NSW Driver's Licence and a willingness to travel as required in role.
