What You'll be doing 
Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.Assist in the provision of the Emergency Medicine service at Fairfield Hospital through medical management, clinical direction to and collaboration with other ED and facility staff, as well as clinical care for ED patients.The CMO provides high quality experienced clinical service to the Emergency Department. The personal development aim is to develop the skills and knowledge needed to operate independently as an Emergency Department medical practitioner. This can be achieved through structured and supervised observation of, exposure to, and management of patients, as well as participation in ED education and quality assurance activities.

How to Apply 
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible. View our application guide for information on how to respond to criteria and improve your application.  
1. Previous experience in the assessment and management of Emergency Department patients. 
2. Proficiency in airway management, advanced resuscitation skills and in central venous and arterial line insertion. 
3. Previous experience in the Emergency Department and wide range of medical experience. 
4. Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development. 
5. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including relevant computer skills. 
6. Current Medical Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA), or eligible for same. 
7. Evidence of continuing professional development in Emergency Medicine (ie ALS, APLS, ELS course completion). 
8. Evidence of ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other staff and practitioners and in a multidisciplinary health care team.
