About the Role

Sydney Local Health District is one of the fastest growing Local Health Districts in New South Wales.  Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.

  

The bereavement counsellor will provide specialist bereavement counselling, follow-up and support:

  • To bereaved known to the SLHD Palliative Care Service
  • Where a death has occurred in SLHD or the bereaved reside in the SLHD.

 

This position will be based across Sydney Local Health District.

Ideal Candidate
  • Currently has a relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant experience, eligibility for membership to appropriate professional association if required, Psychologist must have with full registration with AHPRA.
  • Has capacity to provide education and training to health professionals in the areas of grief, loss and bereavement.
