Join the passionate team at Westlakes Community Health Service, where collaboration and support are at the heart of everything we do. As part of our dynamic, multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team, you’ll work alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers, Enrolled Nurses, and Allied Health Assistants. Together, we empower patients to regain independence and improve their quality of life across outpatient, home-based, and community settings.
About the role:
You will collaborate closely with the Allied Health Team to deliver outpatient, home, and community-based rehabilitation. Our Rehabilitation Team includes Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Work, Enrolled Nurse and the Allied Health Assistant.
The Allied Health Assistant will have the opportunity to develop skills in working with a diverse clinical population supported by a multidisciplinary team. Tasks will include the delivery of therapy programs to improve everyday function, mobility and reduce the risks of falls.
The Allied Health Assistant will engage in a range of administrative tasks to support the team. This includes booking patient appointments, organising patient transport, sending out acceptance and discharge letters. The Allied Health Assistant will also develop skills in sourcing and setting up equipment and following up social supports in collaboration with the Allied Health Team.
About you:
- Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for patient care.
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Enjoy delivering rehabilitation interventions in consultation with the Allied Health Team.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
- A love of learning and professional growth in the areas of ageing and rehabilitation.
