Dietitian or Exercise Physiologist or Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist or Social Worker Level 4: $63.81 - $65.35 per hour
Clinical Psychologist: $57.30 - $69.84 per hour

We are seeking a motivated Virtual Adult Obesity Care Pathway Developer and Senior Clinician to join the Family Metabolic Health Service (FMHS), a multidisciplinary clinic based at Nepean Hospital that supports people living with severe obesity across the lifespan.

In this unique role, you will be a team player, working as part of a team to convert the established model of care in the adult (non-pregnant) pathway to a virtual model of care (Living Well) using a pre-specified co-design process, which you will then pilot test and evaluate. You will also work within FMHS clinics, both in individual and group settings, and as a coach in Living Well. This role will involve close collaboration with primary care providers.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Credentials and registrations in an eligible allied health profession as follows: Dietitian: Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer Physiotherapist: Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy and current registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA Clinical psychologist: Accredited post-graduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and full registration as Psychologist with AHPRA Social worker: Degree in Social Work from an accredited course providing eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers Occupational Therapist: Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and current registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA Exercise Physiologist: Bachelors degree in exercise and sports science or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer
  2. Extensive specialist knowledge and demonstrated advanced reasoning skills in obesity management, including the ability to provide a consultation service across NBMLHD. Maintains professional competencies for the relevant allied health discipline.
  3. Demonstrated ability to apply professional judgement when performing novel, complex or critical tasks specific to virtual obesity model of care development and delivery and severe obesity clinical care. Fulfills the safety and quality accountabilities of the role to ensure the development and delivery of safe, high-quality care in line with the NBMLHD Clinical Governance Framework.
  4. Demonstrated ability in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services, including the ability to assist and provide guidance to service managers in the development of clinical services in response to demand and client needs.
  5. Demonstrated ability to contribute to education activities related to obesity management.
  6. Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical supervision and support to health professionals, technical and support staff.
  7. Ability to co-lead the design, development, evaluation and operationalisation (as a clinician) of a virtual model of care for severe obesity management.
  8. Demonstrated ability to develop and/or deliver virtual care for a clinical setting.
