Team Leader Physiotherapy, Child, Youth and Family

1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
2. Must hold general registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Demonstrated current clinical knowledge in physiotherapy with a high level of contemporary intervention skills, and demonstrated senior expertise in delivery, direction and management of allied health services.
3. Extensive experience in assessment and treatment for children 0-18 years (including children presenting with motor co-ordination disorders, sensory processing disorders, learning disorders and mild developmental disability) in the community health setting.
4. Knowledge of current health system service delivery models for paediatric care and roles of external providers and funding agencies such as NDIS.
5. Demonstrated ability to function in a management role for a multidisciplinary team including experience with operational planning, service planning, policy development, staff supervision, training and quality improvement activities.
6. Previous community health experience and the ability to interact with families in a collaborative and family centred approach.
7. Demonstrated high level professional competence including theoretical knowledge, skills and clinical experience as an allied health professional in a variety of paediatric clinical settings, preferably in Primary and Community Health.
8. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally including effective computer skills.
