Sole Chief Radiographer – 10-20k Incentives Offered
Walgett Health Service
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and autonomous Radiographer seeking a new challenge as a Sole Chief Radiographer to provide a high level of radiographic (and sonographic if relevant) examinations to patients of Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) from Walgett Health Service, Lightning Ridge Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS) Collarenebri MPHS.
The position is based in Walgett, with regular business-hours travel to Lightning Ridge and Collarenebri. The role also participates in an after-hours on-call service, supported by a remote X-ray operator model to assist with after-hours imaging services at Walgett Health Service.
This role offers the opportunity to combine professional autonomy with a genuinely rewarding rural lifestyle. As the Sole Chief Radiographer across Walgett, Lightning Ridge and Collarenebri, you will provide an essential diagnostic imaging service to local communities while using the full breadth of your clinical, organisational and problem-solving skills. The role offers variety, independence and the opportunity to make practical improvements that have a direct and visible impact on patient care and negate the need for patients to have to travel for basic imaging services.
This role offers the chance to become part of close-knit rural communities where healthcare staff are highly valued and relationships matter while enjoying a more relaxed pace of life away from the pressures of larger centres.
Walgett Health Service is further supported by the visiting WNSWLHD Mobile CT Truck, participation in its operation will be actively encouraged in conjunction with the Mobile Senior CT radiographer.
Dual trained radiographer/sonographers with both AHPRA and ASAR registrations are encouraged to apply.
The role reports to and is supported by the Chief Radiographer Dubbo Health Service and the General Manager Imaging Services WNSWLHD.
