Remuneration: Crown Clerk Grade 9/10, salary from $129,464-$142,665 pro rata plus super and annual leave loading, with a 28-hour work week.

About this role
The Disability Inclusion and Reform Unit, in the Social Policy and Health Equity Branch is seeking expressions of interest for a Senior Policy Officer to join on a temporary basis.
The role is responsible for coordinating and undertaking policy development, evaluation activities and projects/programs for the Ministry of Health to address current and emerging policy issues in relation to disability.
In the role you will be required to plan, implement, manage and monitor projects/programs within the portfolio to ensure outcomes and/or expectations are achieved with a focus on:
- NSW Health’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan,
- State-wide Intellectual Disability Health Services, and
- Reporting and activities under Australia National Disability Strategy and the Roadmap for improving the health of people with Intellectual Disability.

What you'll be doing
- Provides sound information and advice on current and emerging policy issues to Senior Executives and key staff within the Ministry of Health, public health organisations and related government agencies to support effective decision making.
- Communicates, and consults with key staff in public health organisations and other stakeholders to maintain knowledge of and collaborate on matters that have state-wide consequences and represent NSW Health on internal and external committees working on related issues.
- Prepares high quality written reports, briefs, correspondence, and cabinet documents to inform decision making or respond to agency or Government requests.
