About the role

The Social Policy and Health Equity Branch works to improve the health and wellbeing of people. We develop equity focused policies and programs for the NSW Health system, including where it connects with social care.
The role sits within the Inclusive Communities team, in the Priority Populations Unit. The team works across a range of diverse portfolio areas, providing advice and support to the Social Policy and Health Equity Branch, senior executives and staff across NSW Health.
Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $129,464 - $142,665 p.a. plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location- 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards

What you'll be doing
This exciting opportunity will be responsible for managing and leading policy and program development, review and evaluation of projects related to multicultural and refugee health issues. The successful candidate will have experience working in policy and strategy and can expertly communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Experience working in multicultural and refugee health would be highly valued.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Demonstrated relevant, professional experience in the area of social policy and health equity and/or relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Substantial experience in developing, analysing and evaluating policy and other projects in a multi-disciplinary or multi-agency environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with diverse stakeholders to deliver on complex policy and program/project areas.
- Demonstrated ability in the delivery of collaborative projects in a health environment or similar government context.
