Where you'll be working and what you'll be doing

St George Hospital is seeking a full time permanent Senior Podiatrist to join its established High Risk Foot Service. This role offers the opportunity to work in brand new clinical facilities, deliver advanced high risk foot care and develop specialist skills learning gold standard offloading techniques.

The Podiatry team is a small group of 4 who work day to day with our colleagues in Nursing and Medical in Vascular, Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation. It is a true Interdisciplinary team working across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Selection Criteria

  1. Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrate post graduate clinical experience in High Risk Foot, biomechanics and offloading management.
  3. Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  4. Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff
  5. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature
  6. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement projects and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff
  7. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning
  8. Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise your own and team work requirements to effectively meet defined patient care objectives within agreed timeframes
