A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacist to join the pharmacy leadership team at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital. Where you'll be working
You will be working at the recently refurbished Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital in the pharmacy department, which features a dispensing robot to support safe and efficient use of medication.
What you'll be doing
You will co-ordinate and assist with the provision of all pharmacy dispensary activities for the clients of the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Health Service. This role will work closely with all sections of the pharmacy department to ensure an efficient and timely supply process and a knowledgeable and consistent level of service.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (or eligible for immediate registration) with no conditions or restrictions on practice and evidence of extensive and relevant hospital experience.
- Recent hospital experience with pharmacy automation technologies (ROWA, iPharmacy, Pyxis).
- Demonstrated interest/enthusiasm / knowledge for dispensing activities and how these need to be performed in a professional, safe and efficient manner with good patient outcomes being the ultimate goal.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and problem solve within a complex and demanding environment.
- Effective communication skills (written and oral) for both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to lead a team with a focus on delivery of patient focused goals
