Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme

About The Role:
This role will see you work within our inpatient acute team, you will deliver assessments, interventions to patients while working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. (common presentations in aged care, neurology, orthopaedic). You will also provide supervision and leadership to level 1/ level 2 Occupational therapists
As the inpatient senior Occupational Therapist there is also the opportunity to act as head of department for Occupational therapy during periods of leave.

As the level 3 inpatient senior you will work in a dedicated and experienced team of Ots including the inpatient level 1-2 Occupational Therapists, community aged care and palliative care Occupational Therapists and paediatric senior OT.
The Bowral OT team Prioritise personal and career development for all team members, encourage active involvement in department decision-making and quality projects, provide tailored supervision to support professional goals and offer ongoing internal and external professional development opportunities.
About You:
We are looking for someone:
- With experience in the inpatient setting
- Who is a quick learner and a team player
- With experience working as part of an MDT
Requirements:
- Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
- Current drivers licence

- Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and experience in the provision of occupational therapy services within adult acute care inpatient setting.
- Demonstrated experience in the identification of evidence based practice and commitment to quality improvement
- Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring of staff and/or students
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
