Where you'll be working
This role is based at Auburn Hospital within physiotherapy and hand therapy services.
Works within outpatient, inpatient and plastics clinic settings
Reports to Physiotherapy Team Leader
Leads a team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team including surgeons
Engages with patients, universities and professional networks

You will provide advanced clinical care and leadership in hand therapy.
Deliver specialised assessment and treatment for upper limb conditions
Provide consultancy and leadership across WSLHD
Supervise staff and coordinate education and training
Lead service development, planning and quality initiatives
Manage clinical caseloads and team performance

Essential Criteria:
· Qualification: Appropriate Tertiary Recognised Degree in Physiotherapy
Selection Criteria:
1. Current Physiotherapy Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Certified Hand Therapist with eligibility for AHTA Membership.
2. Demonstrated high level clinical expertise and knowledge with experience in hand therapy assessment and treatment, including the management of novel and complex presentations, static/dynamic splinting, and wound/scar management.
3. Demonstrated experience providing clinical consultation in Hand Therapy with liaison across a wide network to support local demands and client/stakeholder needs.
4. Demonstrated experience in the leadership and supervision of a team of staff as well as clinical education of students.
5. Demonstrated experience in leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of local service delivery models within an evidence-based framework.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including networking, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, computer literacy and time management skills.
7. Demonstrated ability to apply independent professional judgement whilst working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
8. Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing quality improvement initiatives, and active participation in research.
