Are you an experienced Mental Health Registered Nurse who’s looking for an exciting career in the Forensic Hospital?

We are looking for highly skilled and dynamic Nurses who have a commitment to patient centered care and clinical excellence.  The Forensic Hospital is located on Sydney’s famed Eastern Beaches and offers a unique work environment providing specialised secure forensic mental health care to adolescent and adult patients.  Furthermore  we offer great additional salary allowances plus Salary Packaging options to further enhance take home benefits include:

  • Additional allowances apply to this position - $3.4704 per hour 
  • Comprehensive 2 week Orientation Program upon commencement
  • Rotating roster of 8 and 10 hour shifts across 7 days

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Minimum RN Year 2, who has either completed a Mental Health Transition Program, or has demonstrated mental health nursing experience in Australia or an equivalent health system.
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills relevant to contemporary mental health nursing.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills including good interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of issues relating to nursing in a high secure environment.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and relevant practice standards.
