What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the position is to provide quality obstetric and gynaecological care to patients in a complex clinical environment whilst developing higher professional maturity and professionalism during the RANZCOG Advanced Training Program, with the goal of obtaining FRANZCOG. Provisional Fellows will, under an appropriate level of supervision by senior staff as approved by the RANZCOG, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients presenting in any condition or stage of pregnancy or the puerperium; and patients of all ages presenting with illnesses, injuries and disorders of the gynaecological or genitourinary system.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia
- Successful completion of the examination process for RANZCOG and currently having completed core training.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex clinical environment, excellent clinical skills and judgment together with teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical settings and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preparedness and ability to work independently or in a supervised environment
- Demonstrate teamwork, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical setting
- Experience and willingness to teach junior medical staff/medical students and midwives, and a commitment to quality improvement, research, patient safety and risk management
- Prepared to participate in after hours and/or on-call roster
