Provisional Fellow positions in Paediatric Immunology and Allergy are available at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, and The Children's Hospital at Westmead, for up to 24 months from 01 February 2027.
Provisional Fellow positions in Paediatric Immunology and Allergy are accredited for Advanced Training (AT) in Paediatric Immunology and Allergy and are part of a two year AT program across The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN), consisting of 12 months at each site - The Children's Hospital at Westmead (CHW) and Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick (SCH). The allocation of the order of the sites to successful candidates will be determined by training requirements and availability of each site.
The Provisional Fellow position provides Advanced Trainees an opportunity to further their training, developing skills important for a consultant role in the spheres of clinical care, education and training as well as research with support from the team consultants and other health care professionals. The Provisional Fellow role is a leadership role, both within the department for other junior medical staff and medical students as well as members of the multidisciplinary team, but also across the broader hospital community.

Selection Criteria:
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as an Advanced Trainee, successfully completed both written and clinical components of the FRACP examination.
- Advanced Trainee with at least 6 months experience in Allergy and Immunology or an allied subspecialty such as Gastroenterology, BMT, Oncology, Respiratory, Infectious Diseases or Rheumatology.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals.
- Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, with a willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff.
- Understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake research proposal.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent time management, problem solving skills, clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
