Key Accountabilities
- Provide support and leadership individually, and through the HI Procurement team, across the Health Infrastructure project teams in the development of contemporary and compliant procurement strategies for the delivery of the NSW health Capital program;
- Coordinate, and actively contribute to significant parts of, the development and preparation of comprehensive tender/contract documents, contract templates, standards, systems and tools in consultation with HI project teams and NSW Health Stakeholders;
- Provide timely and appropriate information and advice to management and staff regarding procurement issues, contracts and service providers to facilitate improved decision making;
- Participate and assist the HI Internal Audit function with the review and reporting of the annual Procurement compliance audits, in accordance with all requests from either the HI Internal Auditors or the NSW Audit Office external auditors;
- Contribute to the provision of advice in relation to policies, procedures ans systems for consultant and contractor pre-qualification, accreditation, selection, engagement and performance management with the procurement and delivery of projects on the HI annual capital program.
Selection Criteria
- Extensive experience and demonstrated ability in all phases of construction procurement including the ability to manage complex issues from inception to resolution;
- Sound self management skills, the capacity to set priorities, successfully manage competing projects and work assignments and meet deadlines;
- Superior communication, analytical and conceptual skills required for complex procurement interaction with senior members of project teams;
- Knowledge of procurement practices, processes and policies within the Government and Public Sector agencies
