Selection Criteria
- High level skills and experience in policy development, implementation and review at a state or national level, including inter-agency and inter-sectoral policy.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills and ability to interpret complex information rapidly and accurately with a view to determining an organisational or jurisdictional policy position.
- Sound understanding of public health nutrition and population health theory and practice
- High-level oral and written communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills and demonstrated capacity to consult and negotiate effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior executive and Minister’s offices.
- Superior organisational skills and capacity to successfully manage competing priorities and to deliver high quality products within agreed timeframes and budgets
- Knowledge and understanding of current food policy issues at a state and national level.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff and lead a team to achieve required results.
