Where you'll be working
This role is based in the Perioperative Department at Auburn Hospital.
Reports to Chief Operations Assistant
Works alongside perioperative nurses and surgical teams
Supports patient movement across operating suite and recovery
Engages with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Operates within a 24/7 rotating roster environment
What you'll be doing
You will support patient care delivery and theatre operations.
Assist with patient transfer and positioning
Prepare and maintain operating rooms and equipment
Support surgical teams with equipment setup
Provide care and reassurance to patients
Maintain safe work practices including equipment handling

Selection Criteria:
1. Ability to demonstrate experience in patient transportation and positioning within an Operating Suite and ability to adapt to the demands of a Perioperative environment.
2. Sound knowledge of Operating Suite equipment and maintenance.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety and Manual handling principles and requirements.
4. Proven ability to communicate with a variety of patients, staff, and managers.
5. Demonstrated experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
