- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and endorsement by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of 5 years’ full time equivalent post registration experience with at least 3 years’ full time experience in Emergency Nursing and post-graduate qualifications relevant to the area of clinical specialty.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills, competence and leadership in the assessment, treatment and management of patients with Emergency care needs.
- Demonstrated understanding of integrated care and proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework and mixed clinical environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current issues impacting on the provision of emergency services in regional and rural areas.
- Demonstrated high level advanced communication and interpersonal skills (including the use of coaching) across a variety of mediums and proven ability to write for a variety of documents.
- Proven advanced skills in clinical teaching and leadership in strategic and clinical service planning and evidence of the ability to influence organisational and cultural change.
- Evidence of high level commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice.
- Proven information technology skills with specific experience in the use of word processing, database and spreadsheet software.
