What you'll be doing
The Nurse Manager Staffing is responsible for the management and recruitment of the Virtual Ward and the Casual Nursing Pool. 
The Nurse Manager Staffing provides leadership and daily operational management for the efficient and effective co-ordination of nursing staff across all clinical areas of the facility to ensure there are safe and appropriate staffing levels and skill mix available to meet patient care needs on a daily basis.
The position develops, implements and maintains systems that provide data and information which are relevant to the position to Nursing Executive and other key stakeholders within the facility, to assist in the development of recommendations and implementation of initiatives to enhance the effective utilisation of nursing staff across the facility.
The Nurse Manager Staffing actively participates at meetings and relevant Committees and contributes to the review and development of policies, procedures and strategic direction of the Nursing Services.
  1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Recent relevant senior management experience and/or post graduate qualification including recent experience in staff selection, recruitment and direct line management.
  3. Demonstrated excellent communication, negotiation, decision-making and influencing skills at a senior management level, including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with key stake holders.
  4. Demonstrated leadership skills with advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a proven ability to solve complex operational problems.
  5. Demonstrated highly developed strategic and analytical skills, including the ability to resolve competing demands and meet deadlines
  6. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and utilise the Casual Nursing Workforce and the Virtual Ward.
  7. Advanced literacy and computer skills, including experience with HealthRoster, Stafflink and Recruitment and Onboarding (ROB) applications.
