Selection Criteria

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia.
  2. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  3. Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing teaching and learning programs in either medicine or a related scientific and/or education field.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Post-graduate degree such as PhD, MD or Masters as well as experience in higher education teaching.
  6. Experience in administrative roles.
  7. Evidence of and commitment to medical/surgical education including the delivery of teaching programs and commitment to quality improvement methodologies.
