1. Relevant clinical and tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience. A background in pain management or related areas will be an advantage.
2. Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills including a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with senior clinicians and healthcare managers.
3. Excellent project management, implementation and evaluation skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks appropriately.
4. Excellent strategic planning and health policy development skills.
5. Demonstrated experience in change management in a health environment.
6. Experience in developing and monitoring budgets.
7. Proficiency in IT systems.
8. Understanding of the NSW and Australian healthcare systems, and of the organisational culture of healthcare services and facilities in NSW.
