Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.
Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
An exceptional leadership opportunity is available for an experienced professional to join as the Divisional Manager for Cancer Care Services. As a key member of the Divisional Executive Team and Nepean Hospital Executive, this role plays a critical part in shaping the strategic direction and operational performance of cancer services across the district. Cancer Services encompasses the full continuum of care, including inpatient oncology and palliative care, as well as a comprehensive outpatient cancer centre offering medical oncology, radiation oncology, haematology, clinical trials, and a range of supportive services. The Division spans multiple facilities, including oversight of agreed services at Hawkesbury, and involves strong partnerships with not-for-profit organisations and private health providers.
The Divisional Manager is responsible for leading strategic and operational planning, corporate governance, and resource management across the Cancer Services Division. Acting as the principal source of advice on performance and operational matters, this role ensures the delivery of efficient, effective, and high-quality services aligned with organisational priorities. Working collaboratively with senior executives, the Divisional Manager contributes to delivering world-class healthcare outcomes across NBMLHD.
In addition to divisional leadership, this role holds line management responsibility for key teams, including senior Corporate Managers, the Clerical Manager, operational leads across Pharmacy and Allied Health, and Clinical Trials management roles.
