Selection Criteria 

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate SWSLHD strategies for workers compensation and injury management.
  • Demonstrated well-developed analytical and problem solving skills to facilitate change management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Work Health and Safety and Workers Compensation legislation, and NSW Health policy directives as they relate to Workers Compensation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workers compensation claims, return to work and litigation.
  • A degree or working towards in a relevant field, equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience.
  • Demonstrated high level of negotiation skills and proven ability to manage staff in a team environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high level briefs for Executive management.
  • Ability to develop an external network of specialists (rehabilitation & medical) to maximize return to work outcomes.
