- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Superior operational management knowledge and skills with demonstrated ability in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting
- Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the service/facility are managed within a defined budget to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with all level of staff, patients and external agencies and the ability to positively influence organisational change
- Demonstrated ability in planning and policy implementation using advance analytical and conceptual skills
- Extensive leadership using contemporary change management methodologies and an understanding of current issues impacting on the nurse profession
- Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use a variety of computer applications
- Current drivers licence and ability to travel when required
