- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Medical Practitioner. Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators, and/or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award, and/or working towards FRACMA and/or other post graduate qualifications that are appropriate and pertinent to the function of the DMS
- Demonstrated leadership experience and achievement as a Senior Manager in a Health Service including strategic planning, medical workforce planning and management, and change management.
- Demonstrated capability to effectively manage medical administration departments within similar health care organisation
- Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practices of clinical governance and clinical risk management and demonstrated capacity to implement and maintain continuous quality improvement management strategies
- Sound understanding of contemporary Health Service issues and the proven ability to prioritise and effectively manage resources to address these issues.
- Communication, negotiation, consultative and interpersonal skills, incorporating the ability to liaise and consult with all levels of the health industry, the community and various professional groups.
- Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
- Ability to participate in Executive on-call roster.
