Deputy Director of Pharmacy

• Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (or eligible for immediate registration) with no restrictions or conditions on scope of practice.
• Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy, preferably in a large teaching hospital, including experience of managing the provision of pharmacy services in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to develop written guidelines and procedures, and draft memoranda and other communications
• Excellent interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively, initiate and manage change, and work as a core member of a team
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development, including membership of a professional pharmacy association, such as the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia, and preferably with a history of conference presentations/posters and/or publications.
• Demonstrated experience with drug and therapeutics committees, medication safety initiatives, quality use of medicines activities, and risk management strategies
• Demonstrated ability to proactively manage a complex work environment, including setting priorities and objectives, strategic planning, adhering to deadlines, effective problem solving, and the ability to develop and implement initiatives.
