About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our fabulous Dental Team. The Dental Assistant helps Dental Officers and Oral Health Therapists to deliver safe and effective oral health services by providing both clinical and administrative support.
As the Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Providing a high level of dental assistance to oral health clinicians within prescribed standards and policies to deliver safe and competent care in line with public expectations
Adhering to a customer focussed service to ensure excellence in patient care
Performing administration duties to support the effective operation of the dental clinic

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Experience in dental assisting, with a qualification recognised by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia (or equivalent), or a willingness to undertake and complete a Certificate III in Dental Assisting
A high level of competency in assisting with a broad range of oral health care procedures
Sound knowledge and practical application of current infection prevention and control principles and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders
The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
Flexibility and willingness to travel for work, including long-distance driving and overnight stays when required
