Counsellor - Drug Health Services (Social Worker, Welfare Officer, Counsellor Level 1 / 2, Psychologist, Registered Nurse)
Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, social work, psychology, nursing or a related field and registration with AHPRA or membership of appropriate professional association as required
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and clinical experience in counselling and case management practice and knowledge of evidence based tobacco treatment strategies with experience in the provision of services to clients seeking treatment for substance use and related issues
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence based practice and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to analyse problems, set priorities and apply a range of options to develop solutions
- Unrestricted NSW driver’s licence (P2 licence is acceptable)
