Reporting to the Director Healthy Workplace & Strategies you will meet the following knowledge, skills and experience: 

  1. Relevant qualifications and experience in relation to the provision of trauma support or peer support and the ability to manage EAPS provided by an external provider.
  2. Understanding of emergency services workplace culture and operations, and the challenges in providing staff support services to frontline NSW Ambulance employees.
  3. High level communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to liaise and consult with key parties, negotiate successful outcomes in relation to complex and/or sensitive issues, conflict resolution and presentation of information sessions.
  4. Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to enhance team relations, monitor team functionality, promote the well-being of individual team members, and undertake remedial or performance management processes.
  5. Sound analytical skills, including the ability to undertake research, identify key issues, resolve problems and undertake effective case management.
  6. High-level ability to organise, prioritise, meet deadlines and achieve set goals and demonstrated experience in preparing reports, formal correspondence and briefing papers; dealing with sensitive and confidential matters in tight timeframes.
  7. Computer literacy, including experience in word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, email and other applications in the Windows environment.
