- Hold a Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or some other recognised clinical area in psychology that the employer deems relevant to the functions of the position. The postgraduate qualifications must be of no less than two years full time duration (or part-time equivalent) and include professional clinical coursework, clinical training and supervised placement experience as core components.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and problem solving skills.
- An ability to liaise and provide education to other health professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously at times, provide supervision to students or other professionals and be part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Professional experience that demonstrates a high standard of clinical ability and skill in providing a range of mental health interventions, in a family context, to children presenting with severe emotional, behavioural, and relationship problems.
- Professional experience that demonstrates a high standard of clinical leadership to act as a clinical resource to other mental health professionals.
- Professional experience that demonstrates a high standard of clinical expertise in areas of program design and development.
