Selection Criteria
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and current Immunisation certificate or presently enrolled in Immunisation certificate course.
- Post graduate qualifications relevant to Child and Family Health nursing and at least 3 years fulltime equivalent clinical experience in the specialty of the specified post graduate qualification.
- Demonstrated effective communication including verbal, written and interpersonal skills and information technology skills to provide complex specialty services and influence innovative nursing practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to provide complex care to Aboriginal families and advanced clinical skills using professional knowledge and judgment as per the BSF service standards.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and clinical leadership in the area of CFHN, including ability to develop nursing speciality clinical practice and service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to practice in accordance with the Registered Nurse Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia), and CFHN professional Practice Framework.
- Demonstrated knowledge of designing, implementing and reviewing programs to build community capacity and engagement in a vulnerable population.
