Essential Criteria:


Vaccination: A
Criminal Record Check: National Police Check and Working with Children Check
Qualification: As per the Public Health Systems Nurses' and Midwives (State) Award a Clinical Nurse Educator is a Registered Nurse/Midwife appointed to a position classified as such and who holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
Registration: Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with
the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated extensive clinical experience in Medical Nursing and nursing professional development. Training & Assessment (TAA) qualification or Certificate IV in Workplace Training or working towards.
  2. Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
  3. Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty.
  5. Demonstrated ability and commitment to collaborative and integrated multidisciplinary teamwork, aimed at building and strengthening partnerships with consumers and key stakeholders to provide best practice service delivery.
  6. Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
  7. Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
  8. Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture
