- Successful completion of degree (or equivalent) in Health Information Management or Medical Record Administration and/or equivalent work experience .
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of privacy legislation as it applies to health records and the release of health information.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a medical record team in a hospital setting.
- Demonstrated experience and excellent skills in the use of multiple complex software applications such as Electronic Medical Records (EMR), rostering, procurement systems and MS Office.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills, both oral and written with excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of manual handling and Workplace Health and Safety.
- Current unrestricted motor vehicle licence and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes throughout the LHD.
