Child Wellbeing Unit Assessment Officer - Dubbo

- Tertiary qualifications in a clinical discipline, for example social work, social science or psychology.
- Substantial legislative and policy knowledge in relation to child protection and wellbeing.
- Substantial experience in a child protection role in a complex organisation.
- Ability to apply advanced problem solving and analytical skills in relation to child protection and wellbeing risk appraisal and decision making.
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including sound ability with questioning, coaching, negotiation, conflict resolution, team collaboration and developing professional relationships within and across agencies.
- Knowledge of NSW Health Services, support, referral and resource options for vulnerable children, young people and families.
- Sound Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills, with competence in use of common software packages for data entry, emailing, internet research, word processing, web based application and reporting.
