  1. Tertiary qualifications in a clinical discipline, for example social work, social science or psychology.
  2. Substantial legislative and policy knowledge in relation to child protection and wellbeing.
  3. Substantial experience in a child protection role in a complex organisation.
  4. Ability to apply advanced problem solving and analytical skills in relation to child protection and wellbeing risk appraisal and decision making.
  5. High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including sound ability with questioning, coaching, negotiation, conflict resolution, team collaboration and developing professional relationships within and across agencies.
  6. Knowledge of NSW Health Services, support, referral and resource options for vulnerable children, young people and families.
  7. Sound Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills, with competence in use of common software packages for data entry, emailing, internet research, word processing, web based application and reporting.
