To apply, please address the following Selection Criteria

  1. Be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent (pursuant to Section 14 (d) of the Anti-discrimination Act 1977.
  2. Tertiary qualifications in a clinical discipline, for example, social work, social science or psychology.
  3. Substantial legislative and policy knowledge in relation to child protection and wellbeing.
  4. Substantial experience in a child protection role in a complex organisation.
  5. Ability to apply advanced problem solving and analytical skills in relation to child protection and wellbeing risk appraisal and decision making.
  6. High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including sound ability with questioning, coaching, negotiation, conflict resolution, team collaboration and developing professional relationships within and across agencies.
  7. Knowledge of New South Wales Health Services, support, referral and resource options for vulnerable children, young people and families.
  8. Proficient in the use of information and communication technology programs, for tasks such as word processing, data entry, emailing, presentations, internet searches, web based applications, reporting; and ability to readily learn new systems.
